Kilimanjaro Tipping Policy

Kilimanjaro Tipping Policy

At Oribi Tanzania Safaris, our tipping policy is thoughtfully designed to reflect the duration of the trek, the size of the trekking party, and the number of dedicated staff members accompanying you on your Mount Kilimanjaro adventure. We recommend a tipping range of 10-15% of the total trek cost as an expression of appreciation for the hard work and commitment of our exceptional team. This percentage may vary depending on factors such as the length of the trip and the overall team size, ensuring a fair and equitable distribution that values the collective efforts of our staff.

Importantly, our tipping policy at Oribi Tanzania Safaris emphasizes gratitude for the team’s dedication, irrespective of whether climbers successfully reach the summit of Kilimanjaro or explore the stunning landscapes of Mount Meru National Park. We believe that every team member contributes significantly to the overall trekking experience, and tipping should reflect their collective efforts rather than the outcome of the climb. Tipping is generally conducted at the conclusion of the journey, and we recommend carrying the appropriate amount in cash, preferably in US dollars, for a seamless expression of appreciation towards our hardworking trekking crew. Our tipping policy is designed to foster a positive and supportive trekking culture, ensuring that each member of our team feels recognized for their commitment to making your Kilimanjaro experience memorable and enjoyable.
