Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (Nairobi). After Customs and immigration formalities meet our representative and proceed to the hotel. After Check-in, we explore the city in an orientation tour where we see the Residential area, the National Museum, and the Parliament Building.
Pick up early in the morning from the hotel and you will start your long but scenic drive to the famous Maasai Mara Game Reserve. You will arrive at Maasai Mara Game Reserve in the afternoon and check in at camp for hot lunch. After lunch and some rest, you will set out for an afternoon game drive in the Masai Mara in search of wildlife for the rest of the day until late afternoon when you will return to the camp / lodge for dinner and overnight.
After Breakfast, today it’s time for a most thrilling experience as we enjoy the Game Drives where we will get chance to have a close encounter with The Big Five and other wild animals like Gazelles, Warthogs, Giraffes, Zebras, Cheetahs, Leopards, and Hyenas and more. Apart from traditional game drives, you also can go on a walking safari in Masai Mara or visit the local Maasai Villages to learn more about their culture and traditions. At a supplement, you can also do the hot air balloon safari over the Masai Mara plains.
After Breakfast, Checkout and Proceed to Serengeti National Park with packed lunch boxes. Serengeti means endless plains. En-route enjoy Game drive viewing at Serengeti which offers wildlife like gazelles, zebras, cheetahs, wild dogs, leopards and over a million wild beast. You will go for your first game drive in the Serengeti straightaway in search of the many animals and birds that Serengeti has to offer. In the late afternoon you will check in at a lodge / camp for dinner and overnight.
Arrive at Serengeti National Park. Check into the tented camp.
On this day you can go for an early morning sunset game drive if you wish. Enjoy a full day at Serengeti National Park. After a breakfast, you will proceed to with a full day of game drives in the Serengeti. Serengeti National Park is where the Wildebeests Migration herds spend most of the time before they cross to Masai Mara for the few months between August and October. You will be guided by an experienced who will be in contact with other guides via VHF high-frequency radio, so he will be able to tell the best locations to see the wildebeests migration.
Apart from the migration, Serengeti is home to other animals including elephants, leopards, zebras, giraffes, serval cats, jackals, hyenas, warthogs, the list is endless. Serengeti also is home to more than 500 bird species recorded in the park. You will spend these two days enjoying magical moments as you crisscross the endless plains of the Serengeti doing game drives.
After Breakfast, check out from the tented camp and proceed to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Ngorongoro Conservation Area is a protected area and a World Heritage Site west of Arusha in the Crater Highlands area of Tanzania.
Large animals in the crater include the black rhinoceros, the African buffalo or Cape buffalo, and the hippopotamus. There also are many other animals such as blue wildebeest, Grant’s zebra, the common eland and Grants, and Thomson’s gazelles. Waterbucks occur mainly near Lerai Forest. Tanzanian cheetah, East African wild dog and also African Leopard are rarely seen.
After Breakfast, a full day Ngorongoro Conservation Area Tour. Visit the World Heritage Site – Ngorongoro Crater. One of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa, Ngorongoro Crater has large flora and Fauna with the animals such as grazers – gazelle, buffalo, eland, hartebeest, Warthog, black rhinos, East African wild dog, Tanzanian cheetah.
We depart from your lodge in Karatu and proceed to Lake Manyara National Park. Although small in size, this park is one of the most diverse reserves in the country. Lake Manyara covers two-thirds of the park. At the backdrop is the wall of the Great Rift Valley, before which lies the groundwater forest, areas of open grassland near the lake foreshore, and the Soda Lake.
We enjoy a picnic lunch in this area, which consists of open grassy areas, hot springs, dense woodlands, and steep mountainsides. Lake Manyara National Park is a birding paradise that has more than 350 species of birds. The park is also famed for its unique and elusive tree-climbing lions.
Today we drive to Tarangire National Park, for excellent game viewing. Tarangire is a small park that offers some excellent sights. Generally, in the dry seasons, Tarangire comes alive as wildlife and birdlife congregate on the Tarangire River, which is a permanent source of water.
In the afternoon we make a short journey from the park to Arusha.
