Tanzania Visa Application Process

You have two primary options for obtaining a Tanzanian visa:

Apply in Advance:

• Visit the official website of the Tanzanian Immigration Services Department to complete the online visa application form.
• Upload your passport, a passport-sized photo, and a copy of your flight itinerary.
• Pay the visa fee online using a credit or debit card.
• Wait for the processing of your e-visa, which usually takes a few business days.
• Once approved, download and print your e-visa to present upon arrival in Tanzania.

Visa on Arrival:

• Travelers from eligible countries can obtain a visa on arrival at major Tanzanian entry points, including international airports and border crossings.
• Ensure you have a valid passport with at least six months of validity, a passport-sized photo, and sufficient funds for your stay.
• Visa fees must be paid in cash (USD) upon arrival.

Important Considerations:

• Double-check the specific visa requirements and eligibility based on your nationality before travelling.
• Keep a copy of your visa, passport, and other essential documents in a safe place during your trip.
• Make sure your passport has enough blank pages for visa stamps.
• If you plan to visit neighbouring countries and return to Tanzania, request a multiple-entry visa.
